Highlighting! It perks up your skin, it makes you look gorgeous, glowing. I will always highlight, I will never skip this step in my makeup routine, it brightens up my tired dull skin that I have from doing shift work and makes the most of my features. I can’t live without my highlight.
Here are my top picks;
L’Oreal True Match Highlight. I am a big fan of the true match range so when this launched in boots I went out to get it. It’s a really beautiful product , it has cool Icey tones and gives a subtle highlight. I don’t use this when I want a strong highlight but it’s perfect for everyday makeup. You can use all the 3 colours mixed together or use them separately on different areas of the face. The golden colour looks perfect on cheeks bones, the pearly white is best for nose and cupid’s bow. I like to use the blue shade for my brow bone and corners of my eyes.
Model Co Higlighting Trio. I got this in a recent BirchBox and I was so excited to try it. It’s really cute packaging, it has 3 colours that will suit all skin tones and it’s a great size for on the go touch ups. It has a bronzer to sculpt cheeks, a blush for the apples, and a pearl shade to highlight high points on the face. I was really impressed with this product, all the shades are build-able so it’s easy to adjust the look you want. It makes my skin look radiant and as if my skin has a natural glow.
The next 3 products are by Sleek. I love this brand of makeup, I have a lot of products from them and I’m never disappointed. The brand is so affordable and very good quality.
Solstice Highlighting Palette and Precious Metals Highlighting Palette.These palettes are the dream. I use these mostly for evenings and nights out as they are really pigmented. The colours suit me when I’m my most palest and when I’m wearing fake tan so they are going to work well on most skin tones. I love that you get cream and powder highlights in one palette. Also, for an extra glow I dab any chosen shade on my shoulders and collar-bone. I get compliments when I use these palettes, which makes me feel even better!!
Barekissed Illuminator in Monaco. This is a liquid highlighter. I really like this shade for when I’m feeling pale, it perks up my skin and gives a radiant finish. This works really well mixed with your foundation to create a dewy look. It sinks into skin rather than sitting on it so it looks really natural. I also like to use this on ‘no makeup’ days. It makes skin look really bright and fresh, just apply a bit of mascara and lip gloss, your ready to go!!
