Five Minute Make Up

Sometimes, we look forward to doing our make up and other times it can be a chore! We get up at the crack of dawn, and the last thing we want to do is spend hours applying make up, but we also want to look pretty and respectable! So, nailing our 5 minute face can make early morning routines a hell of a lot quicker and easier! I say 5 minutes but it’s more like 8, I won’t tell if you don’t!

To master your 5 minute make up, you need to think of the products that make the biggest different to your face!

For me it’s; Foundation, Concealer, Bronzer,  Mascara, Eyebrow pencil, Lipstick.

That’s only 6 products! How do I achieve this look? I have my normal shower, put the kettle on and go and sit at my dressing table. I apply my forever aloe moisturiser that acts as a primer too so my skin is ready for make up. Win Win.

I then take my damp beauty blender and apply Maybelline fit me foundation, this is perfect for this look as it’s great for controlling oil so I can skip powder!

Now, my skin is looking even and fresh, but I need some help under my eyes so I apply lasting perfection collection concealer and then blend with the same beauty blender.

To warm up the face and add a bit of definition I take benefits hoola bronzer, as this is a powder I do use it contour my cheekbones and then apply some to nose and forehead to even it all out.

I skip blusher and just go for a bronzed look, but sometimes I do add a highlighter to my cheek bones so it’s more polished.

For my brows I use, soap and glory archery pencil which is so thin it’s super quick to define and fill in brows. When using this product I can do my brows in 30 seconds!

I then apply maybelline lash sensational mascara which is my favourite at the moment, and apply 2 coats. I skip eyeshadow and liner but I go back in with my bronzer to add definition to the crease of my eye lids – this brings everything together perfectly.

Last but not least, lips. I apply my aloe lip balm and then my trusted mac lipstick in velvet teddy! To save time, I skip lip liner and go for a natural look.

That’s it, ready to go! A quick look like this is one of my favourites because it’s minimal effort, simple and sophisticated!

Thanks for reading, have an amazing day!
