Recently I purchased a few products from Tanya Burr’s newest collection. I was really impressed with her Soft Luxe Collection, so I couldn’t wait to try her latest launch.
For starters, the packaging is absolutely stunning, Rose Gold is the perfect colour for this collection as it’s all about revealing glowing skin, that we want to have all year round. The products look luxurious and high-end, the greatest part is, they are totally affordable.
To buy any of her products, they are available here at Superdrug.
I purchased the face illuminator and body illuminator, I couldn’t get one with out the other! She recommends to use the face illuminator alone, or mixed in with a foundation. I tried both ways and got great results! Using alone, gives the skin a subtle glow, it also brightens up complexion, it’s not greasy or sweaty looking. One pump was enough for my entire face. One pump mixed with foundation gives skin a really fresh healthy look, I will continue wearing this for my everyday look. I also added an extra dab on my cheeks, nose and cupids bow for an extra glow. The colour is a beautiful champagne gold. You also get 30ml which will last for such a long time as you don’t need much for each application. The price is £7.49.
The body illuminator smells of vanilla which is very strong, it lingers when applied the skin! The colour is so gorgeous, it’s a bronzed golden shimmer. This works great on shoulders, collar-bone, down the middle of the legs – anywhere you want to add a stunning radiant glow. It is 65ml which I think is great value for money. The price is £8.99.
Cheek Illuminators in Golden Girl and Holiday Happiness. Price £6.99 each.
Golden Girl is bronze shade, its perfecting for warming up the skin and creating a lovely glow. For me, the shade worked best on cheek bones, not the apples, and I loved it applied all over my eye lids. It’s really pigmented so don’t apply with a heavy hand. I found it blended into skin easily when using fingers or a beauty blender. I tried a brush to blend it in, but I found it took a lot of the product off the face.
Holiday Happiness is a rose-pink shade, this colour is better suited for the apple of cheeks. Its gives skin a pop of colour, with a subtle glow. I also apply this with fingers or beauty blender. I tried this over the top of a matt lipstick, applying with my fingers and I really liked the result, it made my lips look as hydrated as my skin. The formula is so creamy and easy to blend which makes them so versatile.
I did set my face with loose powder, luckily there was no sign of these melting or moving off my face. My cheeks still look pretty good at the end of the day which was my only concern as I worry that creamy formulas will slip and slide around the face, but these don’t so I’m really satisfied!
